This SWB Land Rover Series I hardtop is rich with ‘oily rag’ features and repairs, presumably dating from decades when Series Is were less precious. It has been fitted with a non-Land Rover diesel engine, which we believe to be a 2.5-litre BMC engine (similar to another Series I in this sale). Its date of first registration is recorded as 11th November 1957, and according to the DVLAs database it was being MoTed quite regularly up to 2020. Intriguingly, the last certificate, which expired in 2021, was passed with no advisories.
However, recommissioning or restoration will be required. There is no key, V5C or accompanying paperwork.
