2996cc petrol. This stunning Mercedes-Benz 300 SE Coupe (W112), finished in metallic red with a black leather interior, received a bare-shell restoration around 2001-2002 by Adams Automotive in Dereham. Since then it has enjoyed a trip to Italy (note the Swiss vignette in the windscreen) and the history contains a large collection of invoices showing that it has returned to the same garage for significant ongoing investment in its upkeep.
The car was built in West Germany in 1966 and was reportedly in storage when the DVLA's registrations system was revised, so the V5C states that it was registered in 1992. The pneumatic suspension has been converted to steel springs, leaving the original compressor in place. A Kenlowe fan and a coolant expansion chamber were also installed in preparation for a trip to Italy in the height of summer, but ended up not being needed.
The Mercedes was driven to the sale, and its odometer is showing 11,316 miles. The history file includes photos showing its bare-shell restoration, a large collection of old MoTs certificates, tax discs, Mercedes-Benz Club welcome pack, spare keys, original parts catalogue and owner's manual, and the current V5C.
